Christine Pybus

About Christine

Born in Whitby, Christine left school for a career in communications whilst indulging in her lifelong passion for painting whenever possible.

Increasing success with her painting allowed her in 1997 to change career and to paint full time, opening her own gallery in Whitby in 1998 which she sold in 2007 to concentrate more on her own work.

She paints in both oil and watercolour and her pictures are almost always completed on location. Christine travels extensively to work and has painted in Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.

Other art activities include talks on art history, painting courses and demonstrations. Christine is currently writing for Leisure Painter magazine and has  been included in a Sky television documentary.

She was elected a member of the Fylingdales Group of Artists in 2000.
