Brushing Up, Auckland Harbour

Having decided to give the original watercolour from my sketch book to a charity auction I then had to paint this oil before posting it off. These were a couple of figures that I spotted one day from Auckland Quay who just emphasised the enormity and solidity of the ship. Quite an unusual and different composition too. Oil on board 8" x 11"
